There’s something I’ve noticed after years of working with women.
So many of us are incredibly good at looking after everyone else.
We care for our children. We support our partners. We show up for our families, our work, our friends and our communities. We remember the appointments, the lunches, the birthdays, the deadlines and everything in between.
And somewhere along the way, our own health can become the thing we keep putting off.
“I’ll deal with it when things settle down.”
“When the kids are older.”
“After this busy season.”
“Once I get through menopause.”
But what if your health doesn’t need to wait?
Women’s Health Week is a Chance to Pause
Women’s Health Week is a beautiful reminder that our health deserves attention at every stage of life — not just when something becomes unbearable.
Because women’s health isn’t one thing.
It changes as we change.
The young woman who is exhausted, overwhelmed and experiencing painful or irregular periods may need something very different to the mother who has spent years running on empty.
The woman trying to conceive may be navigating the emotional and physical weight of fertility treatment.
The new mum may be recovering from birth while simultaneously learning how to care for an entirely new little person.
And the woman entering perimenopause or menopause may suddenly feel like her body has changed the rules — with sleep, mood, energy, temperature, hormones and cycles all shifting beneath her.
Different seasons. Different needs.
But there is one common thread I see again and again:
Women deserve to feel listened to.
Not dismissed.
Not told that feeling exhausted is simply part of being a mum.
Not told that painful periods are something they just have to put up with.
Not told that anxiety, poor sleep or hormonal changes are simply something they need to “push through”.
And certainly not made to feel like their body is failing them.
Sometimes Your Body Is Asking You To Slow Down
As an acupuncturist, one of the things I love most about this work is that it gives women permission to pause.
To lie down.
To breathe.
To be cared for.
To notice what is happening in their body rather than constantly overriding it.
I’ve seen women come into the clinic carrying years of stress, exhaustion, hormonal symptoms, fertility concerns, pelvic tension or simply the feeling that they don’t quite feel like themselves anymore.
And often, the first step isn’t about doing more.
It’s about listening.
At Womb to World, we look at the whole woman — her physical health, hormones, nervous system, emotional wellbeing, lifestyle and the season of life she is currently moving through.
Because you are not a collection of symptoms.
You are a whole person.
Wherever You Are In Your Journey, You’re Welcome Here
Maybe you’re a young woman wanting to better understand your cycle and hormones.
Maybe you’re a burnt-out mum who can’t remember the last time you genuinely felt rested.
Maybe you’re preparing for pregnancy or navigating fertility treatment.
Maybe you’re pregnant and wanting support through the physical and emotional changes that come with it.
Maybe you’re postpartum and need someone to care for you for a change.
Or maybe you’re entering perimenopause or menopause and wondering why your body suddenly feels so different.
You don’t have to wait until you are completely depleted to ask for support.
How We Can Support You at Womb to World
Our clinic brings together a range of therapies designed to support women through different stages of life, including:
Acupuncture — supporting the nervous system, stress response, menstrual health, fertility, pregnancy and overall wellbeing.
Naturopathy — taking a deeper look at nutrition, lifestyle, hormones, digestion, energy and the foundations of your health.
Chinese Herbal Medicine — personalised herbal support based on your individual presentation and health goals.
Womb Massage — a gentle, nurturing treatment supporting pelvic health, circulation and women preparing for conception.
Lymphatic Drainage & Massage — supporting circulation, relaxation, muscular tension and the body’s natural processes.
Cosmetic Acupuncture — because caring for yourself can also be about how you feel in your own skin.
And most importantly, a space where you can slow down and feel genuinely heard.
This Women’s Health Week, I want to remind you of something.
You don’t have to earn the right to care for yourself.
You don’t have to wait until you are burnt out.
You don’t have to wait until your symptoms become severe.
And you don’t have to navigate every season of womanhood alone.
Your body has been carrying you through every chapter of your life.
Perhaps this is the season to start caring for her, too.
With love,
Angela Marshall
